About

Taking Jesus with us into our communities.

Jesus shines light into any situation or circumstance, and we work to do the same through the power of the Holy Spirit. Growing and reaching out together, we pray that our lives will show God's power and love in all that we do.

Who We Are

In the late 1940s, God moved in the hearts of folks in Parkside, Saskatchewan to start a street outreach in Leask. Combining with the Hungarian Pentecostal Church from the Leask district in 1952, a new church was built and a permanent outreach established. Over the years God blessed the church, leading to a larger building project in 1976-77. In the early 2000s, Leask Gospel closed down for 2-3 years. God in His grace did not allow the church to stay closed however, with ministry resuming in 2005. Since then, God has continued to work in amazing ways here! Our congregation is made up of folks from Leask, Marcelin, Blaine Lake and the surrounding area.

Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Josh & Katie VanZandbeek

Pastor Josh and Katie moved from Edmonton, AB, with their oldest son to pursue the call of God on their lives, feeling led to minister in Leask (and a pull out of the city). Since coming to Leask, they have welcomed their second son in April 2024! They are excited to be in rural ministry and to call Leask their home. They believe that God is just getting started with His plans for Leask, Marcelin, Blaine Lake and the surrounding region. They can’t wait to see what Jesus has planned for Leask Gospel Tabernacle and our communities!
